i'm Back

Really enjoyed vacation. Didn't count calories or work out last week except for one workout with my personal trainer last Monday.

Really looking forward to my workout with my personal trainer on Tuesday.

I've been reading the Secret lately and have a question.

Does anyone out there think that obsessing about weight and having "fat thoughts" led (even partially) to their becoming overweight?

  1. Welcome back. I'm jealous...desperately in need of a vacation. :)

Secret answer: For me...Absolutely YES. Maybe not the first time I gained the weight but over the years of fighting with my weight, I was more fighting with myself in my head and in my heart. I'm a firm believer in that our thoughts and feelings determine our experiences in life so I absolutely think my stinky thinking got my body to where it was. I was unhappy on the inside so the outside followed. For the past 6 months I've been working on being happy on the inside and the outside is following. Hmmm.... :)

If you like the Secret, you should check out The Secret of the Ages by Robert Collier. It's the original from 1914. That's where the Secret stole everything from. It's a much better book than the Ronda Byrne thing. WAY BETTER!

  2. OMG I just bought that book while on vacation. I've been reading it before bed each night. It is really good. I am looking to see how these concepts can fit into my daily life though...we'll see.
